Moulin Rouge! Il Musical in Sesto San Giovanni

Between November 18 and December 13, 2026, the Teatro Sistina Chapiteau in Sesto San Giovanni, in the Metropolitan City of Milan, will host Moulin Rouge! Il Musical. The show, staged at Via Milano 218 in the former Falck industrial area, offers 22 performances of one of the most celebrated musicals in recent years.

The Paris of Montmartre on Stage

Inspired by the homonymous film by Baz Luhrmann, Moulin Rouge! Il Musical recreates the lavish and overwhelming atmosphere of the legendary Parisian venue. The immersive scenography, inspired by Montmartre, envelops the audience in a world of colors, sequins, and passions, while the live orchestra accompanies the musical numbers, making the show a total experience.

Directed by Massimo Romeo Piparo

The Italian version is directed by Massimo Romeo Piparo, who also handles the adaptation of the dialogues. After the success of the Roman season, which attracted over 80,000 spectators, the production moves to the Milanese hinterland, bringing one of the most ambitious productions on the Italian theatre scene to Sesto San Giovanni.

Ten Tony Awards

The international version of Moulin Rouge! Il Musical has won 10 Tony Awards, including the prestigious Best Musical award. A record that testifies to the quality of a show capable of combining the grand tradition of musical theatre with visual and musical spectacle, now on stage under the chapiteau of the Teatro Sistina in Sesto.
