Wired's festival of culture, innovation, and technology at Fabbrica del Vapore
Wired Next Fest is the event that Wired Italia magazine dedicates to the themes of the future: innovation, technology, science, culture, rights. After various editions in different cities, the festival returns to Milan at the Fabbrica del Vapore, a former industrial complex on Via Procaccini now transformed into a cultural and creative hub, in District 8.
The heart of the festival is a packed program of talks, panels, and performances with prominent guests from the worlds of innovation, research, culture, economics, and politics, both Italian and international. The festival addresses the most pressing issues of the present, exploring solutions that emerge at the intersection of culture, rights, and innovation.
Each edition of Wired Next Fest revolves around a major theme. The theme for 2026 is "The Future of Democracy": an investigation into how digital technologies are transforming democratic systems, culture, and governance, amidst opportunities and risks. A common thread that gives coherence to the talks and invites the public to reflect on the world to come.
Promoted by Wired Italia with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, the festival offers free admission with registration. The Fabbrica del Vapore, with its reclaimed industrial spaces, provides a perfect setting for an event that speaks of the future: an appointment now eagerly awaited by those in Milan who want to engage with the ideas and protagonists of innovation.
