World-class jazz in the White City
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
At the end of every summer, Ostuni, the famous White City perched on the hills of the Brindisi province, transforms into a jazz capital thanks to the Ostuni Jazz Festival. The event draws internationally renowned performers and rising stars from the Apulian scene to the heart of Puglia, offering a series of concerts in the most evocative corners of the historic center. Over the years, it has become one of the most awaited musical events of the Ostuni summer.
The festival is organized by the MusicalMente ODV Association, founded in 2022 with the mission of promoting jazz culture in the region, under the artistic direction of Elio Tanzarella and Francesco Milone. The event is supported by the Municipality of Ostuni, which has included the festival in its official summer program dedicated to music, culture, and tourism.
Concerts are held in the city's historic spaces: the charming Cloister of San Francesco, which hosted the early editions, and Palazzo Roma, an 18th-century palace overlooking the old town. The evening performances, under the summer sky of Salento, combine high-quality music with the charm of these historic settings, creating an intimate and refined atmosphere.
The program balances contemporary jazz with more traditional styles, featuring prominent names from the Italian and international scenes. Artists who have graced the stage include pianist Antonio Faraò, trumpeter Quentin Collins, and American singer-pianist Dena DeRose, accompanied by musicians such as Piero Odorici, Stefano Senni, and Lorenzo Tucci. Significant space is also reserved for Apulian musicians, fostering a continuous dialogue between local talent and international reach.
Attending the Ostuni Jazz Festival is also the perfect excuse to discover one of Puglia's most fascinating destinations: the maze of whitewashed alleys, the Aragonese walls, the cathedral, and the nearby Adriatic coast with its beautiful beaches. This blend of great music and heritage makes the festival a unique experience in the summer landscape of Ostuni.
Dates and the program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced. The festival is traditionally held between late August and early September; official information will be released by the MusicalMente ODV association and the Municipality of Ostuni in the months leading up to the event.
