The popular festival of Osteria Grande

The Osteria Grande Beer Festival is one of the most beloved events of the summer in Castel San Pietro Terme, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna. It takes place in the hamlet of Osteria Grande, along the Via Emilia, and for about two weeks it livens up the late June evenings, transforming the Ferrante Ungarelli Sports Field on Via Bernardi into a large space for outdoor conviviality.

Beer, cuisine, and tradition

The heart of the event is, of course, the draft beer, served in abundance under the tents, accompanied by the unmissable food stand. Here, traditional Emilian cuisine takes center stage: from freshly filled piadina romagnola to the dishes served in the festival restaurant, everything is prepared by the association's volunteers. It's an opportunity to taste the local flavors in a simple and genuine atmosphere, typical of village festivals in the Bolognese plain.

Live music every evening

Each evening features live music on the festival stage: past editions have seen a variety of cover bands and tribute bands dedicated to great names in Italian and international music, as well as evenings of liscio, Latin American dance, and DJ sets. The music program is designed to please all tastes and to accompany dinners under the stars until late at night.

A community festival

The Beer Festival is organized by the Associazione Amatori Calcio Osteria Grande, in collaboration with the Polisportiva Osteria Grande and the Pro Loco of Castel San Pietro Terme, and is part of the Estate Castellana calendar, the summer events series of the Municipality. It is an event entirely managed by volunteers, the proceeds of which support the sports and social activities of the hamlet: participating also means contributing to the life of the Osteria Grande community.
