Market exhibition of crafts, flowers, and typical products at Roccabianca Castle
In the heart of the Bassa Parmense, Roccabianca Castle opens its historic spaces to Ortocolto in Corte, the spring market exhibition organized by the association Ortocolto APS. For an entire weekend in April, the manor commissioned by Pier Maria Rossi in the 15th century transforms into a showcase dedicated to quality craftsmanship, typical products, and a love for nature, a blend of history and spring that has become an eagerly awaited event in the Municipality of Roccabianca, in the province of Parma.
The heart of the event is a curated market, set up between the loggia and the castle courtyard, where exhibitors present an exclusive selection of high-quality crafts and excellent typical products from the Parma and Emilia regions. Alongside the creations of artisans and artists, visitors find food and wine specialties that tell the story of the Bassa's biodiversity and flavors, in an intimate and refined atmosphere.
One of the most evocative aspects of Ortocolto in Corte is the guided tours in historical costume, which take visitors on a journey to discover the secrets of the Rossi residence. The tours take place on both Saturday and Sunday, with departures at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM (last entry), lasting approximately 40 minutes. Places are limited, and booking is recommended.
To complete the program, on Sunday afternoon, a theatrical performance curated by the members of Ortocolto APS takes place, a traveling show of holy remedies, love plots, visions of the future, and other strange affairs, which animates the castle courtyard and adds a touch of popular theater to the day.
Part of the circuit of the Castles of the Duchy of Parma, Piacenza, and Pontremoli, the event is one of many exhibitions dedicated to flowers, gardening, and crafts that animate the courtyards and villages of Emilia-Romagna every spring. Visiting Ortocolto in Corte means combining the discovery of a medieval-Renaissance castle with the pleasure of a stroll among stands, scents, and colors, in one of the most characteristic locations in the province of Parma.
The weekend of April 18 and 19, 2026, Roccabianca Castle hosted the spring edition of Ortocolto in Corte, open on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Between the loggia and the manor's courtyard, exhibitors presented a selection of fine crafts and excellent typical products. Guided tours in costume were held on both days (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM), while on Sunday at 4:30 PM, the traveling show *In giusta sosta* was performed, curated by the members of Ortocolto APS.
