Cinema under the stars in Arco

For ten years, every summer, the courtyard of the Oratorio San Gabriele in Arco has been transformed into an open-air movie theater. The "Open-Air Cinema" festival, now in its tenth edition in 2026, has become a staple of summer evenings in this town in the Alto Garda area, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). The initiative is organized by the NOI Oratorio Arco APS association in collaboration with the Municipality of Arco and offers a program designed for all ages, from families with children to fans of auteur cinema.

The 2026 Program

The 2026 edition runs from July 8 to August 12, featuring nine nights of screenings. All shows begin at 9:00 PM in the oratory courtyard at Via Pomerio 15. The calendar alternates between Italian and international comedies, animated films for children, and recent box-office hits:

• July 8 – "Michael" (original version with Italian subtitles)
• July 10 – "Spies in Disguise"
• July 15 – "Disclosure Day"
• July 22 and 24 – "Minions & Monsters", for families
• July 29 – "Stella gemella"
• August 5 – "Tuner"
• August 7 – "Benvenuti in campagna"
• August 12 – "Blackmail", a silent film by Alfred Hitchcock

The grand finale with live music

The highlight of the festival is the closing night on August 12, dedicated to silent cinema: the screening of Alfred Hitchcock's "Blackmail" will be accompanied live by the Radio Days Movie quintet from Trento, providing a real-time musical score. This is the only evening that moves indoors to the oratory auditorium in case of bad weather; for all other screenings, the event is cancelled in the event of rain.

Tickets and Information

Admission is ticketed: full-price tickets cost 7 euros, reduced tickets for minors are 5 euros, with discounted rates for NOI members. Thanks to the national Cinema Revolution initiative, the Italian films in the program are offered at the special price of 3.50 euros. Tickets can be purchased or reserved online up to one hour before the show starts. With its intimate and family-friendly atmosphere, the Arco "Open-Air Cinema" is one of the most beloved cultural events of the Trentino Alto Garda summer.
