A spring tradition in the heart of Quarrata

The OAMI Fair is one of the most deeply rooted events in the calendar of Quarrata, a lively town in the Province of Pistoia, Tuscany, known throughout Italy for its craftsmanship in upholstered furniture. For over three decades, on the first Sunday after Easter, the fair has drawn thousands of visitors to Piazza Risorgimento, marking the arrival of spring and the return of outdoor life after winter.

For an entire day, from 8 am to 8 pm, the center of Quarrata comes alive with over forty stalls featuring both food and non-food items. Exhibitors and vendors arrive from all over Tuscany and other Italian regions, offering an assortment that ranges from:

A fair with a heart of gold

What makes this event special is its bond with the OAMI Center of Quarrata. OAMI stands for Opera Assistenza Malati Impediti (Work for the Assistance of the Impaired), an organization founded to provide care and support to people with disabilities through a family-home model. The fair, organized by the Municipality of Quarrata in collaboration with the local OAMI Association, was created specifically to support the center's activities: participating means making a small gesture of solidarity toward the community.

Growing numbers

Over the years, the OAMI Fair has enjoyed significant success: in some editions, the number of stalls has exceeded eighty, extending beyond Piazza Risorgimento to the surrounding streets. The event thus confirms its role as a benchmark for street commerce and leisure in the Montalbano area.
