The great reining festival in the heart of the Monferrato Astigiano
The NRHA APCR Circles of June is one of the stages of the Regional Reining Championship organized by APCR (Association of Piedmont, Liguria, and Aosta Valley for Reining Horses) in collaboration with the FISE Piedmont Regional Committee. The event takes place in Incisa Scapaccino, a small town in the Province of Asti surrounded by the Monferrato hills, at the prestigious 23 Quarter Horses equestrian center, one of the leading facilities for reining in Northern Italy.
Reining is a western riding discipline born in the United States and now practiced worldwide. Horse and rider perform pre-set patterns consisting of high-speed circles, lead changes, spins, and the spectacular sliding stops, all judged by a panel that rewards precision, control, and the harmony of the duo. It is an exciting show even for those unfamiliar with the discipline, blending athletic technique with the allure of the western world.
The Circles of June stage represents the third seasonal appointment of the APCR-IRHA-FISE-NRHA Regional Championship, including trials dedicated to Beginners and Parareining, the specialty reserved for athletes with disabilities. Numerous categories are contested during the event, including:
Up for grabs is the APCR-IRHA-FISE Jackpot with NRHA added money, which attracts high-level duos from all over Piedmont and neighboring regions to Incisa Scapaccino.
The venue hosting the event, 23 Quarter Horses, is located on Strada per Alessandria, in the Zucca region, and specializes in breeding and training reining horses. With its spacious grounds, stables, paddocks, and both indoor and outdoor arenas, it is a landmark for western riding in Piedmont and an ideal setting for a weekend dedicated to horses and western tradition among the rolling hills of the Monferrato Astigiano.
The Circles of June 2026 stage was held from Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 7 at the 23 Quarter Horses center in Incisa Scapaccino, valid as the third round of the APCR-IRHA-FISE-NRHA Regional Championship, including Beginner and Parareining trials.
