Novale Carnival

A Community Tradition in the Agno Valley

The Carnoval of Novale is the Carnival festival of Valdagno, in the heart of the Agno Valley in the province of Vicenza. It originates from the commitment of the Don Bosco Oratory of Novale, which mobilizes dozens of volunteers, families, and young people each year to build the floats and prepare the costumes, in collaboration with the Municipality of Valdagno.

Allegorical Floats and Masked Groups

The heart of the event is the grand parade, which features over 500 participants each year. Handcrafted allegorical floats and masked groups, animated by music and choreography, parade through the town centre to the cheers of the crowd, in a festive atmosphere that engages both adults and children.

Where and When

The parade starts from the Rivoli square, in the Oltre Agno district, and goes up through the town to the Novale oratory, a hillside hamlet of Valdagno. Upon arrival, the celebration continues with entertainment, food stalls, and music, transforming the oratory into the meeting point for the entire community.

An Event for the Whole Valley

While remaining a popular local festival, the Carnoval of Novale attracts visitors from all over the Agno Valley and the Vicenza area, confirming itself as one of the most colourful events in Valdagno's winter calendar.
