Summer Tuesday nights in the village of Ambra, featuring music, entertainment, and local flavors
In the heart of eastern Tuscany, Notti d'Ambra has become the signature summer event in Ambra, a bustling hamlet in the municipality of Bucine, in the province of Arezzo. Every Tuesday night, the village turns into a vast, open-air stage: medieval alleys, squares, and main streets fill with music, lights, culinary aromas, and people of all ages. It is a well-established format that, year after year, draws visitors from across the Valdambra and Valdarno areas.
The secret to Notti d'Ambra is its "thematic squares" formula: the village is divided into distinct areas, each with its own character. One square is dedicated to live music and DJ sets, a meeting point for those who love concerts and high energy late into the night; another area is reserved for children's shows and families, with entertainment designed for the little ones; a youth space completes the scene with social opportunities. The common thread is the art exhibitions scattered throughout the most characteristic alleys and corners, turning a simple evening into an immersive cultural journey.
The gastronomic aspect is a key reason for the event's success: numerous food stalls (about fifteen in recent editions) are set up along the village streets, offering street food and local specialties, ranging from traditional peasant dishes to products from local farms. Shops and restaurants remain open all evening, contributing to that authentic village festival atmosphere that sets Notti d'Ambra apart from a typical summer event.
Notti d'Ambra is organized by the Pro Loco Ambra with the collaboration of local associations and volunteers, and it is now a permanent fixture in the summer calendar of the Tuscany region near Arezzo. Admission is free for all evenings, confirming the popular and inclusive nature of the festival: an opportunity to discover an authentic Valdambra village far from mass tourism circuits, experiencing the Tuscan summer in the most genuine way.
For summer 2026, Notti d'Ambra returns to Ambra (Bucine, Arezzo) for its eleventh consecutive edition: six evenings, every Tuesday from June 30 to August 4, 2026. The event confirms the diffuse format that has ensured its success, with two squares operating simultaneously and thematic spaces dedicated to live music and DJ sets, family and children's entertainment, and social activities for young people. Along the village streets, art exhibitions and numerous food stalls offer street food and typical Valdambra products. Admission is free for all evenings.
The 2026 calendar features six evenings, every Tuesday from June 30 to August 4, confirming the two-square simultaneous formula:
The evenings are complemented by art exhibitions scattered throughout the alleys and squares, and about fifteen food stalls with street food and local specialties. The festival is also covered by Radio Emme.
The detailed program with artists and times for each evening is announced by Pro Loco Ambra in the weeks leading up to the start: we recommend checking the website prolocoambra.com and the Facebook page "Proloco Ambra" for the complete updated schedule.
