The grand summer night in Castronovo di Sicilia, filled with music, lights, and color
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Notte Rosa is the premier summer event in Castronovo di Sicilia, a town nestled in the Sicani Mountains in the province of Palermo. For over a decade, on a single night in early August, the village turns pink and transforms into a massive open-air stageโan intense, unforgettable night experienced by the community until dawn.
Established in the early 2010s, Notte Rosa has become a staple of the local summer calendar. The event is organized by the Municipality of Castronovo di Sicilia with the support of local associations, drawing thousands of visitors from neighboring towns every year. The concept is simple yet effective: a free, inclusive evening of celebration that blends entertainment, music, and collective identity.
The heart of the festival is the main concert, held in the area adjacent to the elementary school complex. Over the years, the stage has hosted renowned names from the Italian music and dance scene: in 2024, it featured Luigi Masini, while in 2025, under the slogan "The Night of Nights," the audience danced to the beats of DJ and producer Prezioso, whose set spanned his thirty-year career and iconic 2000s dance hits. Alongside the main concert, DJ sets, local bands, and musical entertainment bring the town's streets to life.
Notte Rosa is much more than just a concert. The village is bathed in spectacular pink-themed lighting, while the streets are filled with street performers, shows, and tastings. Historically, the event has also featured fireworks displays and roses gifted to women. There is no shortage of food stalls serving typical Sicilian products, creating a festive atmosphere that brings together families and young people.
Designed as an inclusive and free celebration, Notte Rosa represents one of the most significant moments of connection for Castronovo di Sicilia and the entire Sicani Mountains area. It is the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic village in the Sicilian interior, far from the beaten tourist path, and experience it at its most vibrant.
Information regarding the 2026 edition of the Notte Rosa in Castronovo di Sicilia is not yet available. Based on previous editions, the event is expected to return in the first days of August with its usual format: a main concert, DJ sets, food stalls, and spectacular pink-themed lighting in the area adjacent to the elementary school. The date, guests, and program will be announced by the Municipality of Castronovo di Sicilia in the weeks leading up to the event.
Castronovo di Sicilia is located in the hinterland of the province of Palermo, in the Sicani Mountains. By car, it can be reached via the SS189 Palermo-Agrigento road with an inland turn-off; the nearest train station is Lercara-Castronovo. The reference airport is Palermo Falcone-Borsellino.
Admission to the event is free. Activities are concentrated in the area adjacent to the elementary school complex and in the town center streets.
The event runs from the evening until late at night: comfortable clothing is recommended. Parking is available near the town center; arriving early is advised due to the high turnout.
