Three evenings of music, street food, and fun in the heart of Quarrata
Notte Gialla is one of the most anticipated summer festivals in the calendar of Quarrata, a town in the Province of Pistoia, located in the heart of Tuscany midway between Pistoia and Florence. For three evenings, the town center comes alive with live music, street food, markets, shows, and entertainment, in a large, widespread event that involves squares, streets, gardens, and over fifty local businesses.
The heart of the festival is Piazza Risorgimento, which hosts the street food area featuring Italian and international specialties. However, the event extends throughout the historic center: from Piazzetta Michelozzi to Piazza della Costituzione, from Via Montalbano to Via Corrado da Montemagno, and into the town's gardens. Concerts, DJ sets, shows, hobby and craft markets, and entertainment for children keep visitors company until late at night.
The musical program is the true backbone of Notte Gialla, featuring cover and tribute bands dedicated to the great names of Italian and international music from the seventies, eighties, nineties, and two-thousands. There is no shortage of DJ sets, street band performances, circus acts, and dance moments, turning the squares into open-air stages.
The festival has a deeply popular and family-friendly soul: areas dedicated to children with inflatables and games, entertainment, outdoor sports activities, and offerings for every age group make Notte Gialla an event suitable for the whole family. The initiative was born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Quarrata, the Natural Shopping Center, and the CAT Consorzio Ambulanti Toscana of Confcommercio Pistoia-Prato, confirming the event's deep roots in the town's commercial and social fabric.
Included in the "Estate a Quarrata" (Summer in Quarrata) program, Notte Gialla represents one of the highlights of the local early summer, capable of attracting residents and visitors from the neighboring towns of the Valdinievole and the Pistoia area. With free admission and a program that is always rich and varied, it is the ideal opportunity to discover the hospitality and joy of this town in the Tuscan plains.
Notte Gialla 2026 enlivened the center of Quarrata for three evenings, from June 12 to 14, with a widespread and free program.
Opening of the street food area in Piazza Risorgimento (6:00 PM - Midnight). At 9:00 PM, a concert by the Mamalover Cover Band (70s-80s-90s-2000s) in Piazza Risorgimento and, simultaneously, a performance by the youth group of the Filarmonica Giuseppe Verdi of Quarrata in Piazzetta Michelozzi.
Highlight evening with the 883 Cover Band in Piazza Risorgimento, the "Dinosaur Square" with inflatables and games in Piazza della Costituzione, DJ sets and sports activities in Via Montalbano, a hobby and craft market, and the 2nd Time Trial - Palio dei Rioni Quarrata 2026.
Final evening with street food in Piazza Risorgimento and a performance by the Sorelle Kiss Kiss.
Quarrata is located in the Province of Pistoia, about 10 km south of the provincial capital and 30 km west of Florence. By car, it can be reached via the A11 Firenze-Mare motorway (Pistoia or Prato Ovest exits); by train, the Quarrata station is on the regional line, a short distance from the center.
Admission to all evenings and events is free. Street food and drinks are available for purchase at individual stands.
The street food area in Piazza Risorgimento is open from 6:00 PM to midnight. We recommend reaching the center on foot and parking in the surrounding areas, as traffic restrictions are expected in the historic center during the evenings.
