About Note di Wine

Note di Wine is a major open-air charity dinner held every June in Piazza Grandi, Castelfiorentino, in the heart of the Florentine Valdelsa. The evening brings together local winery tastings, traditional Tuscan cuisine, and live music by the Filarmonica "G. Verdi". All proceeds are donated to local volunteer associations, making it a beloved community event that perfectly blends conviviality with charity.

An evening of wine, music, and solidarity

Note di Wine is the early-summer event that transforms Piazza Grandi in the center of Castelfiorentino (Province of Florence, Tuscany) into a massive open-air dining room. The concept is simple and generous: bringing the community together for a convivial dinner, accompanied by local wines and live music, to raise funds for local volunteer organizations.

Launched in 2015, the festival has grown with every edition to become one of the most anticipated moments in the local calendar. The event is organized by the merchants of Via Benozzo Gozzoli and Piazza Grandi in collaboration with the "Tre Piazze" CCN Association, with the support of the Municipality of Castelfiorentino.

Valdelsa wines and Tuscan cuisine

Wine is the true protagonist: Note di Wine features numerous local wineries from the Valdelsa and Colli Fiorentini areas, offering their labels for tasting. Alongside the wine, the dinner celebrates Tuscan culinary traditions with first courses, hearty grilled meats, traditional side dishes, and desserts, all served at long tables set up in the square.

The music of the Filarmonica "G. Verdi"

The beating heart of the evening is the Filarmonica "G. Verdi" of Castelfiorentino, the town's historic band. From student performances and ensembles to percussion groups and the full band concert, music accompanies guests from the aperitif until late in the evening.

The value of solidarity

What makes Note di Wine special is its charitable soul: all proceeds from the dinner are donated to Castelfiorentino's volunteer associations, including the Oratorio Santa Maria della Marca, the Casa Famiglia di San Martino, Prociv-Arci, Avis, and the Filarmonica "G. Verdi" itself. This formula attracts hundreds of participants each year, raising thousands of euros for local causes.

A chance to discover the Valdelsa

For those visiting this corner of Tuscany between Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano, Note di Wine is the ideal opportunity to experience the authentic hospitality of a Valdelsa town, savoring local wines and dishes in a warm, festive atmosphere.
