Nostes musighes - Music in the Valley is a summer concert series held in La Valle/Wengen, a small Ladin village in Val Badia, located in the Alta Badia region of the province of Bolzano (South Tyrol). The title, in the Ladin language, means "our music" and perfectly captures the spirit of the event: a mountain community gathering around its musical heritage and sharing it with guests vacationing in the Dolomites.

The La Val brass band

At the heart of the series is the Musikkapelle La Val (the Wengen brass band), the village's historic musical ensemble. Composed of musicians of all ages who dedicate themselves to this activity with passion on a voluntary basis, the band enlivens the village's social life and represents Val Badia at concerts, parades, and festivals. In their refined traditional Tyrolean costumes, the musicians carry on a cultural heritage passed down from generation to generation.

The repertoire and atmosphere

The concerts feature a program that combines traditional brass band music and more modern melodies: from traditional Tyrolean pieces, an integral part of local culture, to more contemporary repertoire. The evenings are held in the Domëne Moling event hall on Via San Senese, while on pleasant days, the atmosphere is enriched by the mountain panoramas surrounding the village.
