During the Christmas period, the medieval village of Bard, at the foot of the Forte, hosts Nöel au Bourg, a Christmas market that transforms the stone alleys into an enchanted village. The most evocative feature is the widespread nativity scene: scenes of the Nativity are set up in the windows of medieval houses and even in the village fountains, in a route that winds through the narrow streets and small squares.
Artisans and typical Aosta Valley products
Along the village and in Piazza Cavour, exhibitors offer Christmas crafts and artistic creations, as well as typical Aosta Valley products. The cultural association organizing the event also takes care of the refreshment service with local specialties, while Santa Claus and his elves welcome visitors and a 'Santa Claus village' offers activities and workshops for children.
December 8th, from Bard to Hône
On the occasion of December 8th, the event extends to the nearby village of Hône, connected to Bard by a shuttle train that unites the two towns in a single Christmas itinerary. Nöel au Bourg is now one of the most beloved Advent events in the Municipality of Bard and the entire Aosta Valley, perfect for those seeking the authentic atmosphere of a mountain Christmas.

The 2026 edition of Nöel au Bourg will animate the medieval village of Bard from November 21, 2026, to January 6, 2027, with indicative hours of 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM daily (3:00 PM - 8:00 PM on December 25th and January 1st). The market will feature artisans and typical Aosta Valley products, while the widespread nativity scene will once again populate the windows of medieval houses and the village fountains. On the occasion of December 8th, the event will extend to the nearby village of Hône, connected by a shuttle train.
