The largest indoor boat show in Southern Italy, held in Misterbianco
The Nauta – Mediterranean Boat Show is the leading trade fair dedicated to recreational boating in Southern Italy. Every year, between late winter and early spring, the event brings the SiciliaFiera exhibition center to life in the municipality of Misterbianco, in the Province of Catania, just a few kilometers from the regional capital. It is considered the largest indoor boat show in Southern Italy and has carved out a prominent role in the Italian and European nautical exhibition landscape.
The exhibition covers more than 27,000 square meters of indoor space, distributed across halls C1, C2, and C3 of the Sicilian exhibition hub. The show features motorboats, sailboats, inflatables of all sizes, mega yachts, sport fishing equipment, technical accessories, apparel, and nautical services. A distinctive feature of Nauta is the high percentage of shipyards exhibiting directly: approximately 70% of exhibitors are manufacturers, confirming the event's credibility within the industry.
Every year, the show attracts over a hundred exhibitors, including national and international shipyards, dealers, and related industry companies. Alongside the vessels, ample space is dedicated to sport fishing, accessories, and services, with occasional forays into the automotive world thanks to prestigious brands. The event is held under the patronage of Confindustria Nautica and collaborates with the Port System Authority of the Eastern Sicilian Sea, reflecting its strong institutional roots.
In addition to the exhibition, Nauta hosts conferences, round tables, and technical meetings focused on the development prospects of the yachting industry, port infrastructure, and the blue economy in Southern Italy. These sessions make the show not just a commercial showcase, but also a hub for dialogue between businesses, institutions, and industry professionals.
With a turnover exceeding ten million euros and tens of thousands of visitors, Nauta serves as a major economic driver for Misterbianco, the Province of Catania, and all of Sicily. The strategic location of SiciliaFiera, which is easily accessible and offers thousands of parking spaces, makes it a convenient destination for both boating enthusiasts and professional industry operators.
The 2026 edition of the Mediterranean Boat Show was held from February 27 to March 8, spanning seven days over two consecutive weekends (February 27-28, March 1, and March 5-8), from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The event occupied over 27,000 square meters in the halls of SiciliaFiera in Misterbianco.
The inauguration on February 27 saw the participation of Minister Nello Musumeci, who described Nauta as «an authoritative fair among the best in Italy». On that occasion, an agreement was signed with Confindustria Nautica to simplify bureaucracy in support of companies in the sector.
With more than a hundred exhibitors, 70% of whom were represented directly by shipyards, and a turnover exceeding ten million euros, the 2026 edition closed with results above expectations, strengthening the show's role as an engine for the boating industry in Southern Italy.
The show takes place at SiciliaFiera, on Via Leopoldo Franchetti in Misterbianco (CT), just a few kilometers from Catania. It is easily reached by car from the Catania ring road; Catania-Fontanarossa Airport is about twenty minutes away. Ample on-site parking with thousands of spaces is available.
Opening hours are generally from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM continuously. The entrance fee is affordable (around 5 euros), with online pre-sale available via Eventbrite and tickets sold on-site. Advance purchase is recommended to avoid queues on weekends.
