Wooden music at the foot of Gran Paradiso
MusiCogne - Musiche di legno is the summer music festival of Cogne, in the province of Aosta, created to bring acoustic music into close contact with the alpine nature of the Gran Paradiso National Park. Organized by the Consorzio Operatori Turistici Valle di Cogne (Cogne Valley Tourist Operators Consortium) with the patronage of the Municipality and the Park, it is directed by musician and singer-songwriter Carlo Pestelli.
An eclectic and free program
The festival offers a series of live acoustic and eclectic concerts, ranging from singer-songwriter music to folk music, from world music to the instrumental traditions of various cultures. All performances are free. The setting — clearings, squares, and corners of the village of Cogne — is an integral part of the experience: listening to acoustic music immersed in the Gran Paradiso landscape.
GuitarCogne, the guitar seminar
In parallel with the festival, GuitarCogne takes place, an acoustic guitar seminar organized in collaboration with SFOM (School of Musical Training and Orientation). Students of all levels work with renowned teachers for several days, concluding with a showcase concert. An opportunity that combines high-level musical training and mountain cultural tourism.
MusiCogne — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of MusiCogne - Musiche di legno is scheduled from July 15 to 18 in Cogne. Four days of free acoustic concerts immersed in the nature of the Gran Paradiso National Park, with the artistic direction of Carlo Pestelli and the usual GuitarCogne guitar seminar.

Festival Structure
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, with artists and timings for individual concerts, is under development and will be published by the Consorzio Operatori Turistici Valle di Cogne in the weeks preceding the event. The confirmed format includes:
- Evening and daytime acoustic concerts with an eclectic character (singer-songwriter, folk, world music), with free entry;
- Performances set in Cogne's squares and clearings, in close contact with alpine nature;
- Artistic direction by Carlo Pestelli;
- GuitarCogne: acoustic guitar seminar with SFOM, culminating in a final concert by the students.

Cogne is about 27 km from Aosta along the SR47, reachable by car or bus. Nearest train station: Aosta.
Tickets
All festival concerts are free entry. For GuitarCogne, registration for the seminar is required by the deadline indicated by the organizers.
