A motorcycle rally in the heart of Capitanata

MotorDay has become a staple in the event calendar of Castelluccio dei Sauri, a small town in the province of Foggia in the heart of the Puglia region. Every year, as autumn begins, the town's historic center fills with motorcycles, color, and music, attracting hundreds of riders and enthusiasts from across the province and neighboring towns. More than just a motorcycle rally, MotorDay has evolved into a true community celebration, blending a passion for two wheels with the convivial spirit typical of the Subappennino Dauno villages.

A day of riding and conviviality

The day kicks off in the historic center with registration and a communal breakfast on the Via Roma balcony. This is followed by the traditional blessing of the helmets, the event's official opening, before the roar of engines signals the start of the motorcycle ride through the local countryside. Upon returning, enthusiasts gather for an aperitif and a group lunch, while one of the most curious and anticipated attractions remains the motorcycle wash, which turns bike cleaning into a fun, spectacular event.

Focus on families and solidarity

MotorDay isn't just for motorcyclists: throughout the day, areas are set up for families and children, featuring inflatables, traditional games, and recreational activities in the square. A central role is played by the mototherapy and horsetherapy sessions, which place inclusion and support for vulnerable individuals at the heart of the event. In line with this charitable mission, a portion of the event's proceeds is donated to charity, while other funds support new cultural activities and the revitalization of the local economy.

The evening celebration

As evening falls, the festivities move to Piazza Municipio, where an evening concert with bands and cover acts brings residents and visitors together. It is the moment for the awards ceremony, honoring participants who traveled the furthest or brought the most unique vehicles, closing a day dedicated to motorcycling passion and shared joy.

A grassroots event

MotorDay was founded several years ago through the initiative of Carlo Volpe, in collaboration with the local Pro Loco of Castelluccio dei Sauri and with the patronage of the Municipality, and continues to grow thanks to the commitment of many young volunteers. Included in the town's summer and autumn event lineup, it now represents one of the most popular and identity-defining moments of community life in Castelluccio.
