A weekend of engines, classic cars, and passion in the heart of the Susa Valley
The Motor Event San Didero is the automotive festival that brings the small town of San Didero to life every summer. Located in the lower Susa Valley, within the Metropolitan City of Turin (Piedmont), the event was launched in 2025 by local enthusiasts. It quickly became one of the valley's most anticipated gatherings, earning the nickname of the "little Monte Carlo of the Susa Valley" due to the high-performance machines that take over the town center.
The heart of the event is the static display in Piazza Europa: sports and competition cars, vintage vehicles from the Motor Vej d'la Valsusa group, and classic Vespas and Fiat 500s stand alongside modern and historic rally cars. Sunday is dedicated to amateur demonstrations and a non-competitive parade along a route entirely closed to traffic, allowing the public to admire the vehicles in action safely.
The Motor Event is about more than just engines: the program includes live music, evening entertainment, barbecues, and food stalls run by local associations, creating a family-friendly festival atmosphere. In the inaugural edition, the Saturday evening was brought to life by the Velvet Quartet, confirming a winning formula that blends a passion for cars with local conviviality.
The 2026 edition carries special significance as it is dedicated to the 1st Sovilla Dimer Memorial, a tribute that further strengthens the event's bond with the San Didero community. The organization is managed by the ASD Racing Event Valsusa, an association officially founded in March 2026, born from the experience of the Team Racing Event Valsusa, in collaboration with the Municipality of San Didero, the Pro Loco, the Alpini group, and numerous local associations.
The Motor Event is part of an increasingly rich automotive calendar for the Susa Valley: the same association also organizes the Chianocco-Pavaglione amateur hill climb, a sign of a passion for engines deeply rooted in this corner of the Province of Turin. It is the perfect opportunity for those looking to combine exploring the Susa Valley with a day dedicated to the roar of engines, automotive history, and local tradition.
The 2nd edition of the Motor Event San Didero will be held on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, 2026, and is dedicated to the 1st Sovilla Dimer Memorial. The event is organized by the ASD Racing Event Valsusa, officially founded in March 2026, in collaboration with the Municipality of San Didero.
The successful structure of the inaugural edition is confirmed: Saturday afternoon features a display of sports and vintage cars in Piazza Europa, followed by street food and evening entertainment; Sunday includes amateur demonstrations and a non-competitive parade along streets closed to traffic.
The detailed program, including times, names of musical guests, and featured vehicles, will be published by the organization on the official Facebook page in the weeks preceding the event.
