The flavours of the Vicenza mountains

The Market Exhibition of Local Typical Products is the autumn event in Posina, a mountain municipality in the upper Vicenza valley in the province of Vicenza, nestled at the foot of the Pasubio massif. Organised by the Pro Loco Posina, the event traditionally takes place on the last Sunday of October and celebrates genuine mountain products in a zero-kilometre market.

The Posina potato and local products

The heart of the day is the local product market, open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where you can find vegetables, fruit, honey, cheeses, and especially the famous Posina potato, a recognised excellence of the valley. The stalls showcase mountain agriculture made up of small productions and care for the land.

Gnocchi, chestnuts and Alpine tradition

From 11:30 AM, the food stand opens, featuring Posina gnocchi, prepared with the local potato. In the afternoon, from 3:00 PM, the Alpini (Alpine troops) prepare the traditional chestnut spaelada, while the day is enriched by the parade and the blessing of agricultural machinery, a sign of the deep bond between the community and farm work.

A village festival at the foot of the Pasubio

More than just a fair, the Market Exhibition is a moment of identity for Posina and the entire valley: an opportunity to rediscover the rhythms and flavours of the Vicenza mountains, in a village that preserves Alpine traditions and high-quality agricultural productions.
