About Mortara Carnival

The Mortara Carnival colors the center of Mortara with a masked parade, square dances, and the Color War with wheat flour. Featuring creative workshops for families, baby dance, and snacks offered to participants, it's a celebration designed for children and families, with a charitable heart: donations collected support the local Anffas. One of Lomellina's main winter events.

The families' carnival in Mortara

The Mortara Carnival is the Carnival celebration of Mortara (Province of Pavia), one of Lomellina's main winter events. The festival enlivens Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the historic center with a masked parade, music, and square dances, in a cheerful atmosphere designed especially for children and families.

Color War, workshops, and fun

Among the most popular attractions is the Color War, a color battle using wheat flour (with consideration for celiac attendees), alongside creative workshops for families like "Little Hands in Dough," baby dance, and the "Carnival for Four-Legged Friends" initiative, dedicated to participation with pets. To complete the celebration, snacks are offered to participants.

A charitable celebration

The Mortara Carnival combines fun and solidarity: proceeds from donations collected during the day are given to Anffas ETS Mortara e Lomellina, to support people with intellectual and relational disabilities. Organized by the Municipality of Mortara with the Pro Loco and local associations, it's an event that brings the community together in a grand celebration of color and generosity in the heart of Lomellina.
