Perugia's Historic Theater
The Morlacchi Theater, an 18th-century gem in the heart of Perugia, is the main venue for the plays and dance season of the Teatro Stabile dell'Umbria. Every year, the program brings the best of Italian and international theater to the city, alternating great classics, civic theater, new dramaturgy, and dance performances.
A Prestigious Program
The season offers nationally acclaimed productions, world premieres, and regional exclusives, featuring leading directors and performers from the Italian scene. Alongside plays, a section dedicated to dance enriches the program, while the Ridotto space hosts more intimate and experimental productions.

The 2026/2027 Season of the Morlacchi Theater, curated by the Teatro Stabile dell'Umbria, offers 33 performances (25 plays, including 5 with audio description, and 8 dance), with 5 international shows, 2 world premieres, 27 regional exclusives, and 5 titles at the Ridotto.
The opening is entrusted, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, to the world premiere of "Oscar", a new production by Teatro Stabile dell'Umbria directed by Antonio Latella and starring Sonia Bergamasco. Director Nino Marino summarized the season's vision as "a theater for everyone."
