About Eurochocolate

Every autumn, Perugia becomes the world capital of chocolate with Eurochocolate, the International Chocolate Festival. For ten days, the historic center fills with stands, workshops, chocolate sculptures, tastings, and shows, attracting hundreds of thousands of chocolate lovers from all over Italy and abroad. Between Corso Vannucci, Piazza Italia, and via Mazzini, it is one of the most famous food and wine events in Europe.

Chocolate takes center stage in Perugia

Eurochocolate is the International Chocolate Festival that has enlivened the historic center of Perugia every autumn since 1994, a city that has made chocolate a symbol of its identity with Perugina. For ten days, the Umbrian capital transforms into a large, widespread celebration, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The historic center becomes a foodie's paradise

The main squares and streets โ€” Piazza Italia, Piazza della Repubblica, Corso Vannucci, and via Mazzini โ€” host hundreds of exhibitors, from large companies to artisan chocolatiers. The program includes the Chocolate Experience with educational workshops, Choco Lab and Cooking Show stages with pastry chefs and special guests, chocolate sculptures, tastings, and itinerant shows like Choco Parade, Choco Buskers, and Choco Street Band.

An international event

Each edition revolves around an original theme and slogan, setting the tone for initiatives and interactive activities. Admission to the outdoor areas is free, while the ChocoCard is available for special events and paid experiences. A reference point for enthusiasts and families, Eurochocolate is now a symbolic autumn event in Perugia and Umbria.

Eurochocolate โ€” edition 2026

The 32nd edition of Eurochocolate takes place in Perugia from November 13 to 22, 2026, with the theme "Make Sweets". For the first time, moved to November, the festival animates Piazza Italia, Piazza della Repubblica, Corso Vannucci, and via Mazzini with the Chocolate Experience, the Choco Lab and Cooking Show stages, and hundreds of exhibitors.

The 2026 edition of Eurochocolate (the 32nd) is held in Perugia from November 13 to 22, 2026, with the slogan "Make Sweets", inviting the public to become active participants by creating sweets with chocolate, not just tasting and buying them. The edition marks the festival's move from the traditional October period to November.

The festival areas are spread throughout the historic center between Piazza Italia, Piazza della Repubblica, Corso Vannucci, and via Mazzini, featuring the Chocolate Experience and the Choco Lab and Cooking Show stages. The testimonial for the 2026 campaign is cake designer Anastasia Cherednychenko.
