The Castle of Cereseto, which towers over the Monferrato hills in the province of Alessandria, provides the backdrop for one of the most scenic evenings of the 2026 Monfrà Jazz Fest. The event is part of the so-called "Postcard Concerts", a festival section that brings live music to locations capable of offering unforgettable imagery: castles, forests, industrial museums, and panoramic viewpoints scattered throughout the local villages. In Cereseto, this small town in the province of Alessandria becomes a natural stage overlooking the vineyards of Piedmont for one night.
The 9th edition: "Terre di Jazz"
The evening is part of the ninth edition of the Monfrà Jazz Fest, titled "Terre di Jazz: syncopated continents and off-course islands", a widespread festival that animates Casale Monferrato and about ten other UNESCO-listed Monferrato municipalities from June 21 to 28, 2026. Promoted by Le Muse Accademia Europea d'Arte under the artistic direction of Ima Ganora and Gigi Andreone, the festival weaves together big names in jazz, world premieres, and special projects, highlighting the bond between music, landscape, and the region's food and wine culture.
Spoon Baboon on stage
The star of the Cereseto evening is the Spoon Baboon trio, consisting of Camilla Rolando on trumpet, Gioela Scomazzon on vocals and guitar, and Giulio Ferro on drums. Their sound blends contemporary jazz, R&B, and neo-soul with electronic flourishes, creating a fresh, internationally-minded concert perfect for the intimate setting of the castle.

Getting there
Cereseto is located in the Casale Monferrato area, in the province of Alessandria. It is easily reached by car from Casale Monferrato (about 20 minutes) and from the A26 motorway exits; the reference railway stations are Casale Monferrato and Vignale-Altavilla, to be completed by car.
Evening schedule
7:00 PM guided tour of the castle; 8:00 PM merenda sinoira; 9:00 PM Spoon Baboon concert (duration approx. 75 minutes).
Tickets and reservations
