Monferrato On Stage arrives in Albugnano

In the summer of 2026, the touring festival Monferrato On Stage, now in its eleventh edition, makes its debut in Albugnano, a small town in the province of Asti overlooking the Monferrato hills. The evening takes place at the Belvedere Motta, one of the most scenic viewpoints in the area, offering sweeping views of the vineyards and, on clear days, the Alps.

Founded in 2016 by the Fondazione MOS ETS, the festival brings entertainment, music, and wine culture to the villages of the provinces of Turin, Asti, and Alessandria every year: a virtuous example of local synergy that makes the Monferrato region the true star of the stage.

The show "Four Women for Four Wines"

The heart of the evening is the theatrical monologue by Chiara Buratti, inspired by Nina Simone's "Four Women" and reimagined for the Monferrato territory. The performance blends theatre, live electronics, and sensory experiences in a continuous dialogue between the spoken word and a glass of wine. Four female figures, four Monferrato wines: an immersive story designed specifically for this landscape.

Wine, flavours, and photography

Before and after the show, the food & beverage area features Monferrato wines, supported by the Regional Enoteca of Albugnano and the Consortium of Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines. The "Banchetto & libagioni" gastronomic selection is curated by Monferrato Rural Food, while the cocktail bar is managed by the Distilleria Bosso. The evening is accompanied by the photo exhibition "Pictures of You — On the Road," a tribute to the world of music.

A free event in the heart of Piedmont

Admission to the show is free, staying true to the festival's philosophy: bringing the public closer to the culture and excellence of the territory without barriers. The Albugnano stop is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Albugnano, the Regional Enoteca, and Monferrato Rural Food, with the support of the Piedmont Region.
