The iconic voice of the Modena City Ramblers in a concert blending music and the memory of the Resistance
The Monferr'Autore Festival makes a stop in Conzano, a small town in the province of Alessandria nestled in the UNESCO-listed hills of Monferrato, for one of the most anticipated evenings of its 2026 season. The star of the show is Cisco, born Stefano Bellotti, the historic voice of the Modena City Ramblers and now an established singer-songwriter who has spent years weaving together folk, rock, and social commitment.
The concert is not an isolated event; it is the grand finale of a full day that the Municipality of Conzano dedicates to the memory of the Resistance. In the afternoon, the Auditorium San Biagio hosts the meeting "Partisan Stories and Songs Around the Table," featuring readings, historical testimonies, and musical contributions from the group Clan Banlieue. The evening concludes with Cisco's acoustic concert, perfectly in tune with the themes of memory, freedom, and civic engagement that have always permeated the artist's repertoire.
After an initial run between 2005 and 2007, the Monferr'Autore Festival was reborn in 2026 with a broader vision under the artistic direction of journalist Enrico Deregibus. The festival runs from April to July, spanning numerous municipalities in the Alessandria area—including Balzola, Conzano, Gamalero, Lu Cuccaro Monferrato, Occimiano, Pontestura, Rivarone, Treville, and Volpedo—with a diverse program that blends singer-songwriter music, rock, folk, theater, cinema, humor, and literature. It is an event designed to showcase the Monferrato territory and its cultural traditions.
Conzano and the Alessandria Monferrato thus confirm their vocation for hosting high-value cultural events capable of attracting audiences from across the province and beyond.
The 2026 edition of the Monferr'Autore Festival brought one of its most intense evenings to Conzano with an acoustic concert by Cisco. The event concluded a day entirely dedicated to the memory of the Resistance, promoted by the Municipality of Conzano and coordinated by Mayor Emanuele Demaria together with the Accademia Monferrato.
In the afternoon, the talk "Partisan Stories and Songs Around the Table" was held, while in the evening, Cisco performed his solo repertoire blending folk, rock, and social activism, including tracks from his recent album "Reduci". A very well-attended event with free admission.
The concert takes place in Piazza Australia in Conzano (AL). In case of bad weather, the event will move to the Cantinone. The afternoon talk will be held at the Auditorium San Biagio.
Conzano can be reached by car from the Alessandria Ovest motorway exit or from Casale Monferrato. The nearest train station is in Alessandria, from where you can continue by car.
Free admission for both the afternoon talk (6:00 PM) and the evening concert (9:00 PM).
