Momo Evening Walk

A walk under the stars in the heart of the Novara lowlands

The Momo Evening Walk is one of the most anticipated summer events in Momo, a small town of about 2,700 inhabitants in the province of Novara, in the heart of Piedmont. On a July evening, the town's streets and countryside fill with walkers of all ages, ready to traverse the paths between the rice paddies and fields that define this corner of the Po Valley, about fifteen kilometers northwest of Novara.

A non-competitive walk for everyone

The event is a non-competitive recreational walk, open to all: it is not about finishing first, but about enjoying a relaxed, friendly evening stroll together. There is a main route of about 7 km and a mini-route of about 2 km, designed for families, children, and those who prefer a shorter walk. The charm of the event lies in its timing: it starts at sunset, allowing participants to walk as the countryside is painted in the colors of dusk, offering evocative views of the Novara lowlands.

A stage of the Gamba d'Oro circuit

The Momo Walk is one of the stages of the famous Gamba d'Oro circuit, a historic series of non-competitive walks and runs that animate the towns of the Novara and Vercelli provinces throughout the season. Participating in Momo means joining a calendar highly valued by local amateur running enthusiasts, consisting of dozens of weekly events in different towns.

Meeting point, start, and refreshments

The meeting point is at the Momo Municipal Gym, at Via Marconi 13, where the routes start and finish. Registration takes place on-site, just minutes before the start. At the end of the walk, participants are welcomed with abundant refreshments and a bar, the perfect opportunity to chat and toast to the evening in good company.
