The great summer folk festival in Albinia, a district of Orbetello
Mille Bolle Blu is the major summer appointment in Albinia, a populous district of the Municipality of Orbetello overlooking the lagoon, in the province of Grosseto and in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma. Every year, the event transforms Piazza delle Regioni and the town center into an open-air stage, with concerts, shows, and evenings dedicated to Italian pop music. Free entry and a family-friendly atmosphere make it one of the most anticipated and well-attended events on the Grosseto coast.
The festival was born in 2002 and has grown edition after edition to become a landmark for audiences on the Tuscan coast. Over the years, the Albinia stage has hosted numerous stars of Italian song, alternating big names with evenings of spectacle, comedy, and family entertainment. In 2026, Mille Bolle Blu reaches the milestone of its twentieth edition, celebrated with a special program and highly beloved artists.
The twentieth-anniversary edition offers a stellar lineup, with the announced participation of Patty Pravo and Pupo, two pillars of Italian pop music. A special evening dedicated to the festival's twenty years is scheduled for August 21st with I Gemelli di Guidonia, who will revisit the songs and protagonists of the twenty editions of Mille Bolle Blu. The event is part of a rich summer calendar in Albinia that also includes the White Night, the Craft Beer and Street Food Festival, and the Orchestra Grand Gala.
Mille Bolle Blu is organized by the Pro Loco Albinia, chaired by Vincenzo Picciolini, in collaboration with the Municipality of Orbetello, local sponsors, and many local volunteers. The festival represents one of the defining moments for the Albinia community and helps enliven the entire summer season on the Orbetello lagoon.
Albinia is located in the northern part of the Municipality of Orbetello, in a strategic position between the coast, the lagoon, and the Maremma hinterland. Its location makes it a natural transit point for those visiting the Argentario, the beaches of the Maremma, and the surrounding protected natural areas. Participating in Mille Bolle Blu means experiencing the most authentic and popular side of the Tuscan summer, amidst music, conviviality, and hospitality.
For its twentieth edition, Mille Bolle Blu offers a special program in Albinia dedicated to the anniversary. Announced artists include Patty Pravo and Pupo, two major figures of Italian pop music. On August 21, 2026, a celebratory evening is scheduled with I Gemelli di Guidonia, who will revisit the songs and guests of the festival's twenty editions.
The event, organized by Pro Loco Albinia with the Municipality of Orbetello, takes place in Piazza delle Regioni and is part of Albinia's rich summer calendar. The full program, including dates and times for all evenings, is published on the Pro Loco Albinia social media channels.
By car: Albinia can be reached via the Aurelia state road (SS1), taking the Albinia exit; the town is located in the Municipality of Orbetello, in the province of Grosseto.
