The Christmas holidays in the heart of Maranello, with lights, an ice rink, and markets
Merry Christmas Maranello is the program of Christmas events that lights up the Municipality of Maranello, in the province of Modena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, every year. For about a month, from the first weekend of December until Epiphany, the city center, streets, cultural spaces, and hamlets transform into a large holiday village filled with lights, entertainment, music, and tradition.
The heart of the event is Piazza Libertà, where the large ice skating rink, the Christmas tree, and the markets are set up. The lighting of the Great Tree and the inauguration of the rink officially mark the start of the holidays, accompanied by the city's brass band, DJ sets, and food areas managed by local associations, including the Alpini of Maranello serving gnocco fritto and borlenghi.
In addition to the street festivities, Buon Natale Maranello offers a rich cultural program spread across the Auditorium Enzo Ferrari, the Mabic Library, and local churches: art-house film series, theater performances, gospel and choral concerts, book presentations, children's readings, and nativity scene exhibitions in the hamlets. Among the most anticipated events is the Maranello Christmas Tractors Parade, a parade of tractors decorated with lights that travels through the city, bringing Santa Claus, music, and snacks for the little ones.
The calendar concludes with two major public celebrations: New Year's Eve in Piazza Libertà, enlivened by live music, DJ sets, a midnight toast, and street food, and the Epiphany day, with puppet shows for families and the traditional church concert. A festival designed to engage residents and visitors of all ages, just a stone's throw from the Ferrari Museum that has made Maranello famous worldwide.
Promoted by the Municipality of Maranello together with the Maranello Terra del Mito Consortium and local associations, the event combines solidarity, tradition, and fun: from charity initiatives for Telethon to the free distribution of small trees for newborns, to activities dedicated to children. Buon Natale Maranello is now one of the most vibrant Christmas offerings in the province of Modena.
The 2025-2026 edition enlivened Maranello from December 7, 2025, to January 6, 2026, with a program spread across squares, streets, cultural spaces, and hamlets.
