The third round of the Master Beta Trial Trophy in the woods of Valsesia
The Master Beta Trial Championship makes a stop in Quarona, a small town in the Valsesia valley, in the province of Vercelli, Piedmont. For 2026, Quarona is one of the new locations added to the trophy calendar, hosting the third of five seasonal rounds and becoming, for a day, a focal point for trial enthusiasts from all over Italy.
Trial is a motorcycle discipline that is as spectacular as it is silent: riders tackle courses scattered with natural and artificial obstacles—boulders, logs, jumps, and steep slopes—attempting to clear them without ever putting a foot on the ground. The winner is the one who accumulates the fewest penalties along the so-called "zones," the timed sections that test balance, technique, and nerves of steel.
In Quarona, the race winds through a picturesque setting that blends the town center with the natural environment: Salone Sterna and Piazza Combattenti serve as the headquarters and meeting point, while the technical zones are set up in the Lombaretto woods, where rocks, roots, and elevation changes offer perfect natural obstacles for the discipline.
The event is organized by the Moto Club Valsessera, in collaboration with the Alpini of Quarona group, who manage the hospitality and refreshment point along the route. The Municipality of Quarona supports the event: trial riding, practiced with respect for the rules and the environment, can coexist with trails and forests without causing damage, actually contributing to keeping them clean and tidy.
The Quarona stage is part of the Master Beta Trial Trophy, a national series dedicated to fans of the Beta brand, the historic Tuscan manufacturer of trial and enduro motorcycles. The trophy, reaching its 36th edition in 2026, consists of five rounds spread across the season and concludes with the grand finale of the Beta Day, where final awards are presented.
The spirit of the trophy is one of fun and camaraderie among riders rather than fierce competition: it is an opportunity to test oneself in a friendly atmosphere, reconnecting with friends and a passion for the sport. Those who participate in at least three days receive a race pack with technical gear and brand gadgets.
Beyond the race, the Quarona stage is a true village festival: hundreds of enthusiasts and support staff, many arriving from distant regions, bring the Valsesian town to life for the day. The public can follow the riders' maneuvers up close in the technical zones and stop at the refreshment point run by the Alpini, in a setting that highlights the Valsesia territory and its bond with the mountains.
