The village festival of Masi di Cavalese featuring Trentino flavors, music, and tradition in the Fiemme Valley
The Masi di Cavalese Country Festival is one of the most heartfelt and popular events in the Fiemme Valley. Every year, the small hamlet of Masi, in the municipality of Cavalese (Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige), comes alive around the festival marquee in the Giaroni area, becoming a meeting point for locals and holidaymakers alike for a weekend dedicated to fine dining, music, and alpine tradition.
The event is organized with passion by USD Cermis, the local sports club, together with the ANA (Alpine) group of Masi. It is a festival born from volunteer work and community spirit: members and volunteers handle the kitchen, table service, and hospitality, keeping alive a model of genuine social interaction typical of mountain villages. Proceeds support the hamlet's sports and association activities.
The absolute star is the traditional cuisine of the Fiemme Valley and Trentino. Under the marquee, you can enjoy the famous spit-roasted chicken, polenta with luganega sausage, grilled pork chops, French fries, and the essential fortaie, the fried dessert typical of Trentino festivals. To complete the experience, there is a tasting of Trentino wines at the characteristic Alpine hut and a wide selection of draft beers. The kitchen remains open throughout the festival.
The evenings of the Country Festival are marked by live music. Bands taking turns on stage—such as the Spritz Band and the Tirock Band—accompany the dancing and festive atmosphere until late at night, attracting an audience of all ages to the dance floor under the marquee.
The festival is also designed for the little ones: inflatables, games, cotton candy, and entertainment make the event suitable for the whole family. The informal and welcoming environment makes it one of the ideal occasions to experience the authenticity of the Fiemme Valley far from the most crowded tourist circuits.
Masi di Cavalese is located just a few minutes from the center of Cavalese, the main town of the Fiemme Valley and a well-known tourist destination at the foot of the Latemar and the Cermis chain, in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Participating in the Country Festival means combining a gastronomic and convivial experience with the discovery of one of the most evocative mountain territories in Trentino.
The Masi di Cavalese Country Festival returned on May 30 and 31, 2026, under the marquee in the Giaroni area, organized by USD Cermis with the ANA group of Masi.
On Saturday, May 30, the aperitif kiosk opened at 6:00 PM, followed by an outdoor dinner from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM featuring spit-roasted chicken, polenta and luganega, grilled pork chops, fries, fortaie, and beer. From 8:30 PM, the dance evening with the Spritz Band continued until 1:00 AM. On Sunday, May 31, the festival continued with the music and joy of the Tirock Band.
There was no shortage of Trentino wine tastings at the Alpine hut and moments dedicated to families, with inflatables, cotton candy, and games for children.
