The beer festival and village fair of Marroneto, on Mount Amiata
Marroneto A Tutta Birra is the summer event that transforms the hamlet of Marroneto, in the municipality of Santa Fiora (Grosseto province, Tuscany), into a large open-air gathering dedicated to beer and fine food. The heart of the event is the Piana del Riccio, the clearing that hosts the long tables, stalls, and festival stage every year from 7:00 PM until late at night.
Organized with great passion by the Marroneto 100% association, the festival stems from the spirit of a small mountain community that knows how to welcome locals, vacationers, and curious visitors in a genuine and joyful atmosphere during the peak of the Santa Fiora summer. It is a true village festival, where Marroneto volunteers cook, serve, and host the evening, and where draft beer becomes the perfect excuse to get together.
The program revolves around three essential ingredients: beer, served on tap in various styles; food stalls featuring traditional Amiata flavors; and music, with live concerts and DJ sets that keep the crowd dancing until late. Past editions have featured an evening that flows from an aperitif to dinner at the stalls, followed by music and DJ sets until midnight and beyond, blending the feel of a traditional village fair with a lively beer festival.
Marroneto is a small hamlet of Santa Fiora, one of the most charming medieval villages in southern Tuscany, nestled in the greenery of the Mount Amiata slopes. Santa Fiora is famous for the springs of the Fiora river, the Peschiera, and its historic center rich in heritage. The Marroneto festival is part of the extensive Estate Santafiorese (Santa Fiora Summer) calendar, often coinciding with the patronal fair of Saints Flora and Lucilla. Attending A Tutta Birra means experiencing an authentic corner of the Amiata region, away from mass tourism, in the company of the locals.
The 2026 edition of Marroneto A Tutta Birra will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Piana del Riccio in Marroneto, a hamlet of Santa Fiora (GR), starting at 7:00 PM. The festival, organized by the Marroneto 100% association, is included in the official Estate Santafiorese 2026 calendar published by the Municipality of Santa Fiora.
Once again this year, the evening will revolve around draft beer, food stalls featuring traditional Amiata dishes, live music, and DJ sets until late at night. The detailed program, including musical guests and the full list of food offerings, will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event via the municipality's and the organizing association's channels.
