About Mangialonga

A day of walking along the paths and villages of the Levanto valley, with tables set up along the route. The Mangialonga is the food and wine walk that combines gentle trekking, nature, and Ligurian flavours, crossing the hillside hamlets behind the town. Between onion focaccia, ciuppin, and strawberries with wine, it is one of the most beloved gastronomic walks on the Spezia coast.

Walk with taste in Levanto

The Mangialonga of Levanto is the food and wine walk that takes participants to discover the valley behind the town, in the province of La Spezia. A route along the paths through the hillside villages, marked by stops where you can taste typical local products, accompanied by musical entertainment.

Among the hamlets of the valley

The itinerary touches the hamlets of Ridarolo, Fontona, Chiesanuova, Pastine, Vignana, and Legnaro, as well as other small villages. A journey into the green heart of Levanto, far from the crowded coast, through olive groves, vineyards, and ancient rural settlements.

The flavours of the route

The menu, which may vary from year to year, tells the story of Ligurian cuisine: onion focaccia, a snack in the olive grove, rice cake, chickpea soup, pork ribs, ciuppin (Levanto-style fish soup), and strawberries with red wine, all accompanied by wine. A walk that is also a journey of taste, ideal for those who want to experience the most authentic side of Levanto.
