Maggio a Cles Agricultural Trade Fair

The agricultural fair of Val di Non

For over a quarter of a century, the Maggio a Cles Agricultural Trade Fair has been the benchmark event for the agricultural community of Val di Non. Every year, between May 1st and 2nd, the Municipality of Cles transforms the Sports and Leisure Centre (CTL) on Viale Degasperi into a grand showcase dedicated to mountain farming and local excellence.

A territory on display

The CTL grounds host around 140 exhibitors, including agricultural machinery manufacturers, nurserymen, floriculturists, artisans, car dealers, local food producers, catering points, and various regional associations and institutions. The significant presence of the Agricultural Machinery Traders Association, with over fifteen companies, makes the Cles fair a vital hub for meetings, networking, and technical updates among farmers, experts, and businesses regarding innovation and safety in agriculture.

The May Fair in the historic centre

On May 2nd, the festivities extend to the historic centre of Cles, which hosts the traditional May Fair with over 150 stalls offering clothing, footwear, accessories, and a wide variety of products. A free shuttle bus service connects the town centre to the CTL for the duration of the event.

More than just agriculture

"Maggio a Cles" has long been a major community celebration that engages families. Past editions have featured free bouncy castles, a public climbing wall, performances, workshops, band concerts, and attractions for children. The event perfectly balances the valley's economic and productive vocation with the convivial and tourist dimension that defines this corner of Trentino-Alto Adige.

A Trentino excellence

As the geographical and commercial heart of Val di Non, Cles serves as the gateway to Lake Santa Giustina and the apple orchards that make the valley famous as the home of the Val di Non Apple. This is why the Agricultural Trade Fair is much more than just a market: it is an annual celebration of a rural identity that looks to the future without forgetting its roots.
