A neighborhood festival in the heart of Anagni

The Madonna del Buon Consiglio Festival is the most cherished event in the San Giovanni neighborhood of Anagni, in the province of Frosinone, Lazio. Every year, at the beginning of May, the community of the San Giovanni de Duce Parish gathers around its sacred image for four days that weave together devotion, entertainment, and local life. The heart of the festivities is Piazza Dante, which transforms into an open-air stage for celebrations, concerts, and social gatherings.

The triduum and the solemn procession

The journey of faith begins with the preparatory triduum and daily Eucharistic celebrations at the San Giovanni parish. The most anticipated moment is the solemn procession that winds through the streets of the City of Popes, accompanied by the Anagnina Musical Association Band, conducted by maestro Roberto Mattioli. On Sunday, a solemn service is held in Piazza Dante, animated by the Città di Anagni Polyphonic Choir, led by maestro Luigi Ginesti.

Entertainment, music, and community

Alongside the religious dimension, the festival offers a rich secular program. Evenings in the square feature musical and theatrical performances, ranging from local singing academy students to regional theater companies, as well as concerts that bring spring nights to life.
