The global trade fair for the fruit and vegetable supply chain in Rimini
Macfrut is one of the most important international trade fairs dedicated to the fruit and vegetable supply chain, attracting operators, producers, and buyers from dozens of countries to the Rimini Expo Centre, in the Municipality of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, every year. Organized by Cesena Fiera, the event has established itself as a global platform for business, technological innovation, varietal research, and healthy food culture.
What began as a local exhibition for the Cesena area has become a worldwide showcase over the years: its strength lies in telling the story of the entire supply chain, from field to shelf, bringing together seeds and nurseries, machinery, packaging, logistics, biosolutions, and digital technologies for agriculture in one place.
Macfrut is a B2B trade fair reserved for industry operators: entry is free upon registration. The heart of the event consists of thematic halls, each coordinated by leading experts in the sector, which complement the exhibition with a rich program of conferences on strategic topics such as sustainability, product innovation, packaging, and new technologies.
The choice of Rimini, a city in the Province of Rimini and one of Italy's most dynamic exhibition hubs, is no coincidence: Emilia-Romagna is one of the leading regions in national fruit and vegetable production and home to some of the country's most important cooperatives and producer organizations. Macfrut thus also represents an excellent showcase for the territory that hosts it, capable of attracting commercial and institutional delegations from every continent.
Each edition features an international Partner Country and an Italian Featured Region, as well as symbolic fruits of the year, in a program that alternates commercial, technical, and educational moments.
The 2026 edition of Macfrut, the 43rd, confirmed the international vocation of the Rimini trade fair, with over 1,400 exhibitors and more than 800 top buyers from around the world. The Featured Region was Emilia-Romagna, while the symbolic fruits of the year were mango and avocado, celebrated in the Mango & Avocado Explosion event.
The event was structured into numerous halls and dynamic areas, from the Berry Area to areas dedicated to herbs and spices, from Pre-Harvest to Post-Harvest, as well as spaces on biosolutions, digital technology, and agrivoltaics.
Among the areas and halls of the edition: Berry Arena, Mango & Avocado Arena, Herbal Factory, Plant Nursery Arena, Healthy Food Area, Innovation Arena, Pre-Harvest, and Start-Up Arena.
The Rimini Expo Centre is located at Via Emilia 155, Rimini. By car, take the Rimini Sud exit from the A14 motorway; ample parking is available. By train, Rimini station is connected to the exhibition center via the Metromare (rapid transit line) and dedicated shuttle buses on fair days. Rimini Federico Fellini Airport is a few kilometers away; Bologna Airport is an alternative.
Professional (B2B) event. Free entry upon online registration on the official website; admission desks at the South and East entrances issue badges. Approximate hours: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with early closing on the last day.
Rimini and nearby Riccione offer a wide range of hotels; many establishments offer special rates and packages for trade fair attendees.
