The Sbaracco – Shopping Festival is a commercial event that transforms the historic center of Portoferraio, the main town on the Island of Elba in the province of Livorno (Tuscany), into a massive showcase of deals. For three days, local shops offer discounts and reduced prices on clothing, footwear, and accessories, creating a festive atmosphere that brings together islanders and visitors alike.

The streets of shopping

The heart of the event is Portoferraio's commercial hub, overlooking the harbor. Offers are concentrated along the main streets of the center:

• Via Manganaro
• Via Carducci
• Calata Italia, along the harbor front
• Viale Manzoni

Many participating businesses also set up outdoor stalls and gazebos, bringing their merchandise directly onto the street and making it even easier to discover products and promotions. Participating brands typically include fashion, footwear, and accessory boutiques from the city center.

An event that returns throughout the year

Lo Sbaracco is not a one-off event: the formula is repeated at different times of the year, with a winter edition in February and a summer version (the so-called Sbaracco d'estate) during the tourist season. Organized by the Confesercenti Provinciale of Livorno, the event represents a moment of commercial vitality and support for local businesses, highlighting the shops in the center of Portoferraio.

Taking advantage of Lo Sbaracco is also a great excuse to discover Portoferraio, a city with Medici origins, featuring fortresses overlooking the sea and a history tied to Napoleon, who lived here during his exile.
