Live music nights in the Lentella summer
In the heart of the Medio Vastese, just a few kilometres from the border with Molise, the small Municipality of Lentella (Chieti province, Abruzzo) transforms its municipal sports field into an open-air stage every summer. Launched in 2024, Lentella Musica Live has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the local summer calendar, drawing crowds from across the Vasto area and neighbouring Molise.
The formula is simple and effective: several consecutive nights of live music, always with free admission, featuring a mix of well-known national names and talented pop and singer-songwriter artists. Each evening is complemented by food and wine stalls offering local specialities, turning the concert into a convivial village celebration. The spacious and easily accessible sports field provides the perfect setting for a large audience in an informal, family-friendly atmosphere.
Lentella, with just over seven hundred inhabitants perched on the hills sloping down towards the Trigno valley, boasts surprising cultural vitality during the summer months. Alongside Lentella Musica Live, other traditional events take place, such as the Totem Festival of independent music on the Lentella hills and the historic Porchetta Festival at the end of August. However, the concert series remains the highlight of the summer, the moment when the village opens its doors to the biggest names in the Italian music scene.
In recent years, Lentella Musica Live has become intertwined with European youth exchange projects promoted by the Municipality together with the nearby town of Fresagrandinaria, bringing young people from various European Union countries to the area. The concert nights thus become a bridge between the local community and international guests, fostering the spirit of celebration and sharing that defines the event.
The 2026 edition brings two nights of great live music to the Lentella municipal sports field, all with free admission. The concerts coincide with the "Together in Diversity" European youth exchange, which hosts about sixty young people from Germany, Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic in Lentella and nearby Fresagrandinaria between July 6th and 12th.
The highlight is the return of one of the most beloved bands on the Italian scene, in a festive setting that unites the local community and international young guests.
Grand opening with Bandabardò, the historic Florentine group, performing at the municipal sports field for the tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of the album "Se mi rilasso collasso", released in April 2001. Free admission.
The second evening features Roby Santini, a singer-songwriter highly regarded in the pop and singer-songwriter scene, who will close the festival. Free admission.
Both evenings take place at the municipal sports field and are accompanied by the events of the "Together in Diversity" European youth exchange.
The concerts are held at the municipal sports field in Lentella (CH), Abruzzo, in the Medio Vastese area, just a few kilometres from the Molise border.
Lentella can be reached from the Vasto Sud motorway exit (A14), continuing along the Trigno valley road towards the interior. The nearest train station is Vasto-San Salvo, on the Adriatic line.
Admission to the evenings is free. Each concert is accompanied by food and wine stalls featuring local specialities. We recommend checking the updated schedule and programme on the official social media pages of the Municipality of Lentella.
