An evening of indie music and fun in Piazza Pace, Lanciano
LancianoFest is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Lanciano, in the province of Chieti, in the heart of the Frentano Abruzzo region. Born from the initiative of the Associazione Okay!, the festival transforms Piazza Pace, the space behind the Palazzo degli Studi, into an open-air stage dedicated to live music, community, and fun.
The hallmark of LancianoFest is its commitment to providing a platform for emerging artists and young musicians from Abruzzo. The stage often hosts winners of local music contests, such as EjaSound, alongside DJ sets and local bands. The evening then transitions into Notti Indie, featuring a selection of the latest hits from the Italian indie scene to keep the crowd entertained until late.
Alongside the musical program, the festival features food stalls serving street food and drinks. Special attention is paid to those with specific dietary needs: vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available, ensuring the evening is truly inclusive for everyone.
LancianoFest is part of the Lanciano Estate program, the rich summer calendar promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Lanciano, which brings dozens of events to the city between late June and late August, including concerts, shows, book presentations, exhibitions, and family activities. Admission to LancianoFest is free, in line with the popular and inclusive spirit of the event.
Hosting the festival in Lanciano adds extra value: the Frentano city, famous for the Diocletian Bridge, the September Festivals, and the Mastrogiurato, is one of the cultural capitals of Abruzzo. An evening at LancianoFest is the perfect opportunity to discover the historic center and the lively atmosphere of one of the most authentic cities in the province of Chieti.
The fifth edition of LancianoFest, organized by the Associazione Okay!, returns to Piazza Pace in Lanciano on Saturday, July 11, 2026, as part of the Lanciano Estate 2026 program.
