The Lagundo Vespa Rally is a staple of the summer in the municipality of Lagundo/Algund, located in the Burggrafenamt district just a few kilometres from Merano, in the province of Bolzano (Trentino-Alto Adige). Every year, on the first Sunday of July, the local festival grounds (Festplatz) fill with hundreds of gleaming Vespas, ranging from restored vintage models to modern machines, making it one of the most beloved motorcycle events in all of South Tyrol.

A club born from passion

The event is organized by the Vespa Club ALAGUMNA, an association founded in 2010 by a group of friends united by their love for the iconic Italian scooter. Since 2011, the club has hosted this rally, which has grown to become famous well beyond regional borders for its unique atmosphere and unmistakable charm. The name "ALAGUMNA" recalls the ancient name of the town, set in a territory where Italian culture and German-speaking South Tyrolean traditions coexist.

A day of engines and conviviality

The day's programme combines a passion for motorcycling with local festivities:

• Traditional welcome breakfast with musical accompaniment;
• Scenic Vespa ride through the landscapes of the Burggrafenamt and the surroundings of Merano;
• Awards ceremony for participants, the most original vehicles, and clubs arriving from furthest away;
• Live music and food stalls throughout the day;
• Social moments among Vespa enthusiasts from Italy, Germany, and Austria.
