The singing competition for young talent in Volpiano
La Volpe d'Oro is the singing competition that has been enlivening the summers in Volpiano, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, in the heart of the Piedmontese Canavese, for years. Originally launched in 2018 as a winter event, the competition has found its natural home in the warm summer evenings, when the stage is set up in Piazza Madonna delle Grazie and the community gathers to cheer on its young talent.
What makes this competition special is its ability to bring different generations together. Performances are divided into age-based categories, allowing each singer to compete with their peers:
A jury evaluates the performances and awards the winner for each section, along with special mentions such as the "Musical Voice" award. More than just a contest, however, La Volpe d'Oro is a collective celebration: as local reports have described it, it is "two evenings, one stage, dozens of voices, and an entire square ready to applaud, get emotional, and be surprised."
The competition is organized by the Pro Loco of Volpiano with the patronage of the municipal administration and the support of local associations. It is part of the Notti d'estate program, a series of events that accompanies the people of Volpiano throughout the summer season. Collaboration with local musical organizations ensures technical quality, while the presence of a radio media partner helps give visibility to the young artists.
For those visiting the Canavese and the province of Turin in summer, La Volpe d'Oro is the perfect opportunity to experience the authentic atmosphere of a Piedmontese town festival: live music, children and teenagers performing with enthusiasm, a packed square, and that sense of community that characterizes small towns in the area. It is a free, open-air event suitable for the whole family, telling the story of Volpiano through the voices of its inhabitants.
La Volpe d'Oro 2026 is scheduled for July 10 and 11 in Volpiano, in Piazza Madonna delle Grazie, confirming the summer appointment that the Pro Loco offers as part of the Notti d'estate festival.
As per tradition, the competition features two evenings with performances by singers divided by age category (Kids, Young, and Big) and the awarding of prizes by the jury. The 2026 edition is expected to be inspired by the theme of the Rock Cover Parade, according to the Pro Loco calendar.
The program with the evening schedules and the list of contestants will be announced closer to the event on official channels. Admission is free.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including the schedule for both evenings and the list of contestants for each category, will be announced by the Pro Loco of Volpiano in the weeks preceding the event.
