The widespread dinner hosted by local restaurateurs by the sea, with Capri in the background
La Tavola dei 300 is now one of the most recognizable culinary events on the Sorrento Peninsula. The concept is simple yet spectacular: a single table, set for three hundred guests, arranged along a street or on a beach in Massa Lubrense, in the province of Naples, and served simultaneously by local restaurateurs. This is not a collection of food stalls, but a genuine, coordinated dinner where every establishment brings a signature dish that reflects its identity to the table.
The event is promoted by the Association of Lubrense Restaurateurs (ARL), presided over by Francesco Gargiulo, under the patronage of the Municipality of Massa Lubrense. The association brings together Michelin-starred restaurants, traditional trattorias and osterias, pizzerias, pastry shops, bakeries, agricultural producers, and florists: an entire local supply chain working together for one night instead of competing.
The third edition, presented in May 2026 and dubbed "Coast to Coast", chose the sea as its absolute protagonist, spanning two evenings and two different seaside villages for the first time.
Guests at the 2026 edition included journalist and food critic Edoardo Raspelli, who presented awards to local excellence, food communication expert Nerina Di Nunzio, and Neapolitan pizza master Enzo Coccia, the opening guest for the Marina di Puolo evening. Awards were presented to guitarist and singer Carmelo Sciplino for his artistic career, and to veteran restaurateur Saverio Gargiulo from the Termini district.
The menu of La Tavola dei 300 tells the story of a region defined by terraced gardens, olive groves, lemon orchards, and coastal fishing. Staples include handmade fresh pasta, the catch of the day, seasonal vegetables, extra virgin olive oil from the peninsula, PGI lemons, and traditional desserts, from the lemon delight to dry pastries, all paired with wines from Campania. On the morning of June 17, 2026, a fam trip took journalists and guests through olive groves, dairies, and lemon orchards, confirming the event's role in promoting local tourism.
Massa Lubrense is the westernmost municipality on the Sorrento Peninsula, in Campania, overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. It is divided into eighteen hamlets, ranging from Termini to Nerano, and from Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi to Marina del Cantone. This polycentric structure is the foundation of the project: each edition selects a different village or marina, allowing the festival to serve as a tool for territorial marketing and the rediscovery of villages less frequented by mass tourism.
La Tavola dei 300 has always had a charitable component. The 2025 edition concluded with a five-thousand-euro donation to the "I Genitori Prima di Tutto" association, founded by mothers from the Land of Fires; for 2026, the organizers announced new charitable initiatives in collaboration with local parishes to support families in need in Massa Lubrense.
The opening evening is traditionally open to everyone, while the long-table dinner is limited to three hundred seats and requires online booking, which sells out quickly: in past editions, reservations closed within a few days. Visitors from out of town are advised to plan their stay between Massa Lubrense and Sorrento, as the seaside villages have limited parking and are served by dedicated shuttles.
Presented on May 19, 2026, at the Taverna del Capitano in Marina del Cantone, the 2026 edition doubled up: two marinas, two evenings, and one common thread: the sea of Massa Lubrense. On June 16, Marina della Lobra hosted a party open to everyone, among the fishermen's houses and the small harbor, with live music, folk dancing, local specialties, and the presentation of awards for local excellence by Edoardo Raspelli, assisted by Nerina Di Nunzio.
On June 17, the scene shifted to Marina di Puolo, the cove shared between Massa Lubrense and Sorrento. Here, the 300-seat table was set by the sea, with about sixty ARL restaurateurs in the kitchen, opening guest pizza master Enzo Coccia, and concluding with beach music and a fireworks display over the gulf. That same morning, a fam trip took journalists and guests through the peninsula's olive groves, dairies, and lemon orchards.
The 2026 awards were presented to Carmelo Sciplino, guitarist and singer and finalist of The Voice Senior, for his artistic career, and to Saverio Gargiulo of Taverna Salvatore & Mafalda in Termini for his commitment to promoting the region. ARL President Francesco Gargiulo announced new charitable initiatives in partnership with local parishes to support families in need.
