The summer New Year's Eve on the Ravenna Riviera
La Notte Rosa is the festival that officially kicks off summer every year on the Romagna Riviera: a grand "summer New Year's Eve" that for an entire June weekend paints over 100 kilometers of coastline pink, from the shores of the Municipality of Ravenna to Cattolica, passing through Cervia, Milano Marittima, Cesenatico, Rimini, and Riccione. Born in 2006 from an idea shared by the seaside resorts of the Emilia-Romagna Region, it has become one of Italy's most beloved and widely participated-in events.
On the coast of the Municipality of Ravenna, in the Province of Ravenna, the festival particularly involves Marina di Ravenna, Lido Adriano, and other Ravenna shores, transformed into an open-air stage for three days. Squares, beach clubs, and promenades host free concerts, DJ sets, street performances, light installations, and the traditional fireworks launched simultaneously over the sea, a symbol of the event.
The 2026 edition, scheduled from June 19th to 21st, coinciding with the summer solstice, has the theme "Hit's Summer", the beat of summer and the rhythm of the party. In Lido Adriano, in Piazza Vivaldi, Friday, June 19th is dedicated to hits from the '70s and '80s with DJ sets and a concert by Moka Club, while in Marina di Ravenna, "Fuochi di Mezza Estate - Summer Solstice at Sea" takes place, an event where magic, mystery, history, and fantasy blend before the Adriatic.
The strength of La Notte Rosa lies in its collective dimension: in the same weekend, dozens of Romagna locations organize their own programs, featuring big names in Italian music, live national radio broadcasts, beach parties, sunrise events on the beach, activities for families, and inland experiences. For those choosing Ravenna, it's the ideal opportunity to combine the seaside festival with the discovery of the mosaic city and its extraordinary heritage.
The 21st edition of La Notte Rosa has the slogan "Hit's Summer", the beat of summer, the sound of music, the rhythm of the party. From June 19th to 21st, 2026, coinciding with the summer solstice, over 100 kilometers of the Romagna coast will be painted pink with concerts, DJ sets, shows, installations, and fireworks. On the coast of the Municipality of Ravenna, the festival particularly involves Lido Adriano and Marina di Ravenna, with free admission to the main events.
In other Riviera locations, the festival features, among others: J-Ax, Ditonellapiaga, Samurai Jay, and Eddie Brock in Riccione (Piazzale Roma, "Riccione Music City"); Nomadi in Misano Adriatico; Jerry Calร in Cattolica; the RDS Summer Festival in Rimini; Dargen D'Amico in Cesenatico; Paul Kalkbrenner in Ferrara; Nina Zilli at the Abbey of Pomposa (Codigoro). Grand finale on Sunday, June 21st, with the Frecce Tricolori Air Show in Bellaria Igea Marina.
Fireworks launched simultaneously over the sea along the entire Riviera on the night of the festival.
Ravenna is reachable by train (Ravenna station on the lines to Bologna, Ferrara, and Rimini) and by car via the E45 and the SS16 Adriatic state road. Marina di Ravenna and Lido Adriano can be reached from the city center by urban and suburban bus lines, which are enhanced during the event.
The vast majority of La Notte Rosa events, including concerts on the Ravenna shores and fireworks, are free admission. Some shows or services at beach establishments may involve a cover charge or require booking.
Given the enormous turnout, it's advisable to book accommodation in advance and reach the shores by public transport or bicycle. Wearing something pink is the tradition: it's the symbolic color of the festival.
