Autumn food and wine festival at the Conca della Campania Waterfall
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the heart of the Alto Casertano region, La Mia Campania is a food and wine festival celebrating the authentic flavors of the area in the town of Conca della Campania, in the province of Caserta. The event typically takes place in October, when the chestnut woods surrounding the village turn into a palette of seasonal colors and the valley offers its most breathtaking scenery.
The festival is held near the Conca della Campania Waterfall, a cascade fed by the Rivo di Conca stream at the foot of the ancient crater of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano. Accessible via the Mill Trail (Sentiero dei Mulini), a short path that starts from the village square and winds through the historic center, the waterfall offers a fairytale-like backdrop of rock walls, ferns, and moss. It is in this context that the festival blends gastronomy and nature, inviting visitors to discover a hidden corner of Campania.
The heart of the festival lies in its gastronomic tastings: traditional meat and vegetable dishes prepared with fresh, genuine ingredients, paired with local wine and regional products. The stalls offer specialties of the Caserta peasant cuisine, an expression of a tradition deeply rooted in the rural culture of the hinterland.
Beyond the table, La Mia Campania features live music and entertainment that enliven the day, turning the festival into a celebration for families, hikers, and curious visitors alike. The event also serves to showcase Conca della Campania and its natural heritage, promoting slow tourism that honors the traditions of the Campania region.
Immersed in the landscape of the Alto Casertano, La Mia Campania is more than just a food festival: it is an invitation to rediscover the rhythms and flavors of autumn in one of the most authentic villages in the province of Caserta. We recommend checking dates and programs on official channels before traveling.
The festival is held in Conca della Campania (ZIP 81044), in the province of Caserta, near the Conca della Campania Waterfall. The site is accessible on foot via the Mill Trail, a path of approximately 800 meters (30 minutes) starting from the main village square.
By car, you can reach the Alto Casertano area from the A1 motorway, continuing along the provincial roads towards Conca della Campania. The nearest railway station is Vairano-Caianello, from which you can continue by car.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for walking to the waterfall. Admission to the event is generally free. Always check updated dates and times on the event's official channels.
