The traditional Minerbio fair between white night and night carnival
For over twenty years, La Dolce Fiera has been the flagship event of Minerbio, a town in the plain northeast of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna. Originally a village fair, it has grown to become an eagerly awaited event for the entire Bolognese plain area, attracting thousands of visitors in a single weekend in June. The name evokes, on one hand, the tradition of village fairs, and on the other, the convivial and delicious atmosphere that characterizes these days.
The heart of the fair is the historic center, particularly Via Garibaldi and the town's squares, which come alive from late afternoon until late at night. The tried-and-tested formula includes two main events:
La Dolce Fiera is above all a community festival: alongside street food stalls and local product stands, the program is put together thanks to the work of local associations, from the Pro Loco to local music and sports groups. The children's funfair rides remain set up for several days, while exhibitions and cultural initiatives complete the schedule. To close the evenings, the famous free macaroni dish served late at night, a symbolic gesture of conviviality that summarizes the spirit of this village fair.
Free and spread throughout the town's streets, La Dolce Fiera is designed to be enjoyed by adults and children alike: children find workshops, shows, and rides, while adults enjoy good food, music, and the opportunity to stroll among the stalls in the heart of Minerbio. It is one of those events that tell the identity of the Emilian plain, made of popular traditions, hospitality, and the desire to be together.
For its 26th edition, La Dolce Fiera returned to animate the afternoons and evenings of Friday, June 5th, and Saturday, June 6th, 2026, in the historic center of Minerbio. The formula that made the event famous in the Bolognese plain was confirmed, with two evenings dedicated to community celebration.
Friday kicked off the festivities with the White Night: from 7:00 PM, along Via Garibaldi and Via Roma, food stalls and street food, craft and street vendor markets, music and entertainment, sports performances, rides, and workshops for children. Saturday the town transformed for the evocative night carnival, with a parade of allegorical floats that colored the streets of Minerbio. The celebration concluded late at night with the free macaroni dish.
From 7:00 PM along Via Garibaldi and Via Roma:
The rides remain set up for several days in the dedicated area of the town.
La Dolce Fiera takes place in the historic center of Minerbio (Metropolitan City of Bologna), along Via Garibaldi and in the main squares of the town, at the beginning of June. The funfair rides remain set up for several days in the area of the primary school parking lot and in Piazza C.A. Dalla Chiesa.
By car: Minerbio is accessible from the SP3 "Trasversale di Pianura", about 20 km from Bologna. Public transport connections with the provincial capital are available by train and bus. During the fair, it is advisable to park in areas outside the historic center, which is partially closed to traffic.
Admission is completely free. There are food stalls and street food. For information: Municipality of Minerbio, tel. +39 051 6611734, e-mail [email protected].
