About La Campeggia FS
A festival out of the system, immersed in the greenery of Rastignano
La Campeggia FS is an experience that intertwines culture, nature, and territory in the Parco del Paleotto, the green oasis of the Rastignano hamlet, in the Municipality of Pianoro (Metropolitan City of Bologna, Emilia-Romagna). It's not just a program of events: it's a cultural camping experience where the public is invited to pitch their tents, stay, and live for a few days in a temporary community, far from the accelerated rhythms of the metropolis.
For 2026, the acronym FS — inspired by Donna Haraway's thought — translates to "Fuori Sistema" (Out of the System): an invitation to focus on utopia as a practice of reflection on what the present offers us, choosing lateral, independent, and research-based artistic and performance proposals.
What's happening at Paleotto
The program alternates different languages over several weeks:
- Dance performances and physical theatre, often born from artistic residencies hosted on-site;
- Concerts of experimental, electronic, jazz, and singer-songwriter music, as well as reggae, ska, and dancehall evenings;
- Workshops on voice and body, manual crafts, and collective writing;
- Readings, word encounters, and talks with a decolonial and transfeminist approach;
- Convivial moments with vegetarian cuisine, aperitifs, and decompression spaces in the park.
The artistic direction is by Ro Kamila Zerbini and Martina Delprete for the SCS əkodanza cooperative, in collaboration with the Associazione Selene Centro Studi, the Centro Culturale Paleotto11, and the Culture Office of the Municipality of Pianoro.
Part of Bologna Estate
La Campeggia FS is part of the Bologna Estate 2026 program, events promoted by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City. All events have free entry (reservations are appreciated), and in case of bad weather, activities move indoors to the spaces of Centro Culturale Paleotto11.
For those visiting the Bologna hills, it's an opportunity to discover Parco del Paleotto, a corner of nature overlooking the Savena stream and connected to the hill paths, experiencing it not as a distracted spectator but as part of a small community that, for a few days, chooses to be "out of the system".
La Campeggia FS — edition 2026
For 2026, La Campeggia FS chooses the theme "Fuori Sistema" (Out of the System), also developed in the suggestion "Le Vagabonde BLU" (The Blue Wanderers), which uses the metaphor of stellar evolution to talk about environment, resonance, and margins. The festival is divided into three phases at the Parco del Paleotto in Rastignano (Pianoro): a first weekend dedicated to children, the central festival in June, and a July section open to young artists.
Curated by SCS əkodanza with direction by Ro Kamila Zerbini and Martina Delprete, as part of Bologna Estate 2026, the edition blends dance, experimental music, decolonial talks, and collective practices, maintaining free entry and the possibility of camping in the park.

May 22-24 — La Campeggia Family
Opening weekend dedicated to children and families, with workshops and activities at Parco del Paleotto, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
June 11-21 — Main Festival
- June 11 — Opening: decolonial talk with Carole Oulato; clown performance Chapeau: Il Funerale Dell'Umanità by the Vento collective; performance Il corpo prima by Ekodanza.
- June 12 — Music evening with the projects SentiTuoni and DeadHorse.
- June 13 — Feather Promise, an improvisation performance between music and dance with Chiara Zompa and Pepijn Van Keppel.
- June 14 — Dance practice with Ekodanza; contact improvisation JAM with Elìs Mesiani; DJ set by DJPimpa.
- June 15 — Fundraising day for Gaza (in collaboration with Bologna per Gaza): Palestinian cooking workshop, shared dinner, dances, and readings.
- June 16 & 18 — Lina, Pina e Gina, a grotesque reinterpretation of Macbeth by the Barrio theatre company; on the 18th also immaginando UTOYA, a performance about the 2011 Norwegian tragedy.
- June 19 — Jazz and experimental music with Fabrizio Puglisi's ALGO trio.
- June 21 — Closing with Roots Balera, a day of reggae, ska, and dancehall music.
July 9-19 — Young Artists
Concluding section dedicated to residency presentations and young artists' projects, with performances, concerts, and workshops. Detailed program published on the official website.

How to get there
By car from Bologna along the SS65 della Futa towards Pianoro/Rastignano; parking near the park. By train to Rastignano station (Bologna–Pianoro line). By bus with urban lines 13A, 96, and N6. Also accessible by bicycle along the Savena valley cycle paths.

Free entry to all events; reservations recommended by writing to [email protected] or calling 370 366 4343. Camping in tents is possible in the park. Vegetarian dinners and aperitifs are available (the bio-bar requires an AICS membership card).
