Korcomics, the pop heart of Corato

Every year in mid-June, the Corato Municipal Park becomes the meeting point for all fans of comics, video games, and nerd culture in Puglia. Korcomics – Comics and Gaming Festival was born in 2023 and, in just a few editions, has become one of the most popular pop events in the province of Bari, attracting thousands of visitors from across the region and beyond.

Organized by the Video Italia Puglia Association with the support of the Municipality of Corato – Department of Youth Policies and the Puglia Region, the festival combines the spirit of major comic conventions with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere where fans of all ages can spend two days immersed in the geek world.

What to expect

The Korcomics program is designed to bring together diverse nerd interests: those who love drawing, those who live for gaming, those who never miss a cosplay contest, and those simply looking for a fun day out with friends.

• Cosplay contest — the most spectacular moment, featuring elaborate costumes and an exceptional jury of nationally and internationally renowned cosplayers.
• Artist Alley — a space dedicated to illustrators and comic artists, often local Apulian talents, who exhibit and sell their work.
• Gaming and play area — video game stations, board game tournaments, and live-action role-playing games.
• Guests — voice actors, creators, streamers, and comic artists who meet the public through panels, autograph sessions, and gaming sessions.
• Comic contest — designed to showcase new drawing talents.

A festival rooted in the territory

Korcomics is more than just a fair: it is a cultural project that the Municipality of Corato and the Puglia Region support as a tool for youth engagement.
