The Konzert im Advent is the musical event with which the Musikkapelle Mölten kicks off the Christmas season in the village of Meltina/Mölten, a small hamlet nestled on the Salten/Tschögglberg plateau in the province of Bolzano, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The evening takes place in the Assumption Parish Church (Pfarrkirche Maria Himmelfahrt), an ancient building that has been the heart of the village's religious and community life since the Middle Ages.

Sacred Music and Band Tradition

The concert brings together the band's brass ensemble with local choirs and soloists in a program that alternates between sacred music, Christmas carols, and Advent pieces. Documented as far back as the first half of the 19th century, the Musikkapelle is one of the village's identity-defining institutions: it accompanies processions, patronal feasts, and anniversaries, and with the Konzert im Advent, it offers one of its most intimate moments of the year.
