Events between taste and art in the Bassa Friulana
ItinerAnnia takes its name from the ancient Annia road, the Roman road that crossed these lands connecting Adria to Aquileia, and celebrates the Bassa Friulana in all its facets. It takes place in San Giorgio di Nogaro, in the province of Udine, and for over twenty years it has been one of the most anticipated events of the early Friulian summer, organized by the Municipality with Villa Dora and local associations.
The subtitle "Events between taste and art" well describes the spirit of the event. For four days, the town center, Villa Dora, and its park become a widespread stage: food and wine stalls with typical dishes, vegetarian options, wines, and craft beers; art exhibitions set up in numerous venues; concerts, theatrical and comedy shows; workshops and activities for children.
ItinerAnnia is also a festival that invites you to discover the territory: bike tours through the small villages and gastronomic excellences of the Bassa, canoe trips along the waterways, guided tours, and walks. In recent years, the event has been enriched with new spaces, such as the area dedicated to the river port, a sign of a city that also tells its story through its connection with water.
Between music spread through the squares, DJ sets, cooking shows, award ceremonies, and moments of reflection on sustainability and culture, ItinerAnnia manages to combine the popular dimension of a local festival with the cultural dimension of a festival. A choral event that tells the identity of the Bassa Friulana and the desire of an entire community to come together.
The 2026 edition, the 23rd, of ItinerAnnia enlivens San Giorgio di Nogaro from May 30 to June 2, straddling the Republic Day holiday weekend. The official inauguration is scheduled for May 30 at 10:30 AM, with the traditional parade and the awarding of the ItinerAnnia Prize.
Four days between Villa Dora, its park, and the town center, with food and wine stalls, art exhibitions set up in seven venues, concerts, shows, workshops for children, and excursions. Among this year's new features is the new "Ti porto al Porto" area set up at the Margreth wharf, which highlights the city's connection with its port.
ItinerAnnia 2026 unfolds over four days. Based on the event's established format, the program includes:
