About Italian Open

The Italian Open Golf is Italy's most prestigious professional tournament, part of the DP World Tour, the premier European circuit. The 2026 edition, the 83rd in its history, takes place from June 25th to 28th at the Circolo Golf Torino - La Mandria in Fiano, near Turin, Piedmont. 156 international champions will compete on the 72-hole course for a $3 million prize pool, with the Molinari brothers expected to be the stars on their home green. Admission is free upon registration.

International golf returns to Turin

The Italian Open Golf is the most important professional tournament in the Italian golfing landscape and a historic fixture on the European calendar. Established in 1925, it is part of the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour), the continent's top circuit, attracting the world's best players every year. The 2026 edition is the 83rd in its long history and will be held at the Circolo Golf Torino - La Mandria, located at Via Agnelli 40 in Fiano, in the heart of the province of Turin, Piedmont.

A highly anticipated return to Fiano

For the Turin club, nestled in the greenery of the La Mandria Regional Park just a few kilometers from the Royal Palace of Venaria, this marks the fourth time as host of the Italian Open. The first tournament dates back to 1999, won by the Scotsman Dean Robertson, followed by the 2013 and 2014 editions. The return of top-tier golf to the municipality of Fiano and the Turin metropolitan area confirms Piedmont's role as a hub for major international sporting events.

The challenge on the course

On the Mandria course, 156 players, many of whom are Italian, will face the classic 72-hole distance, playing 18 holes a day over four days of competition. After the first two rounds, a cut will be made, allowing the top 65 players and ties to advance to the weekend. Among the most anticipated participants are the Molinari brothers, true local favorites: Edoardo Molinari has stated that winning on his home course "would be a dream come true."

A three-million-dollar prize pool

The total prize pool is $3 million, with $510,000 going to the winner. The tournament is part of the DP World Tour's European Swing and is organized by the Italian Golf Federation in collaboration with the European circuit. The 82nd edition in 2025, held at the Argentario Golf Club in Tuscany, was won by Frenchman Adrien Saddier.

More than just a competition

Beyond the sporting action, the event features a Fan Zone with an entertainment program for the public and enthusiasts. The main tournament is preceded by the Rolex Pro-Am on Wednesday, June 24th, a team competition pairing one professional with three amateurs, and the Rolex Young Amateurs Pro-Am on Tuesday, June 23rd. Admission to the Circolo Golf Torino - La Mandria in Fiano is free, subject to mandatory registration on the official spectator accreditation portal.
